Christof Kafel has been practicing as a resident specialist in radiological diagnostics at the Radiology Institute in Oberhausen since January 1st, 2007.
He completed his medical studies at the Silesian Academy of Medicine in Katowice/Poland and at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg i.Br.
He began his specialist training in radiology at the Lukas Hospital in Neuss and continued it at the Clemens Hospital in Oberhausen. In December 1995 he was appointed specialist in radiological diagnostics and has since worked as senior physician at the Institute for X-ray Diagnostics at the Clemens Hospital.
As special areas, Mr. Kafel brings interventional radiological procedures to our group practice: balloon dilatation of vascular stenoses (narrowing) and vascular stenting, radiologically controlled interventions such as biopsies and drainage and many years of experience in cross-sectional imaging procedures (CT and MRT) and conventional X-ray diagnostics.
