Ms. Schmitz has been part of the RIO medical team since May 2011. Born in Bergisch-Gladbach and raised in Brazil, she continued the specialist training she had started there at the Hannover Medical School.
She completed her wide-ranging radiological training with a focus on MRT and CT in several renowned clinics and finished her as a specialist at the Bergmannsheil University Clinic in Bochum.
Most recently, she worked at the Marienhospital in Altenessen, where she deepened her knowledge of cardio MRI in cooperation with the cardiology team at the St.Vincenz Hospital.
